About the role
We are seeking an Industrial Technician / Permit Issuer to join our team at Presco Environmental on a contract basis. Based in Hawera Taranaki, this role is crucial in ensuring the safe and efficient operations of our industrial facilities. We are recruiting for both casual and fixed term positions.

What you'll be doing

• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant safety regulations and company policies
• Issue work permits and supervise contractors to guarantee the safety of personnel and equipment
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities and equipment performance
• Collaborate with the operations team to identify opportunities for process improvements

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working on Industrial Sites
• Familiarity with permit-to-work systems and safety procedures in an industrial environment is not essential but is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with operations, management, and contractors
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the facility
• Strong people skills
• Class 2 license is advantageous
