OUR STORY

Presco Hire is part of the Presco Group, a family-owned business established by Steve Prestidge.

In 1991, Steve began offering the first scissor lift for hire in the Taranaki region. With demand growing, and recognising the need for greater access to hire equipment, the company expanded not only through a larger fleet, but also through partnerships with hire and delivery companies.

This strong nationwide network allows us to support more projects in multiple locations, while cutting out the time and frustration our customers had been facing when sourcing, procuring and delivering hire equipment.

While our branches are located in Taranaki, we can connect you with fit-for-purpose, reliable equipment whenever you need it, New Zealand-wide.

FUEL INDUSTRY

CASE STUDY

PROJECT: Nationwide Mobil Fuel Station Refurbishments
LOCATION: Nationwide

READ CASE STUDY

Mobil Contractors were working almost around the clock to renovate the Fuel Station and get it operational again in a timely manner. Once the Fuel Station was refurbished, the contractors then moved to the next site which we had set up and ready to go for reconstruction.

ECL were the approved contractor for all the construction work and found the service that Presco Hire offered as invaluable to the smooth and cost-effective running of their operation. Presco Hire were pleased to support ECL and many others through this process supplying them with their hire equipment needs.

COMMON GEAR USED: Site fencing, scaffold and propping, site offices and lunchrooms, EWP’S, safety harnesses, 20ft & 40ft containers and skip bins.

FACILITIES MAINTENANCE

CASE STUDY

PROJECT: The Warehouse & Warehouse Stationery Merger
LOCATION: Nationwide

READ CASE STUDY

Contractors were tasked with installing the new Warehouse Stationery signage to The Warehouse buildings and were undergoing this project after hours when needed, to allow for less disruption to shoppers. Once all the signage was in place, inside and out, the contractors then moved to the next store which we had set up and ready to go.

Signwise were the approved contractor for all the signage work and found the service that Presco Hire offered as invaluable to the smooth and cost-effective running of their operation. Presco Hire were pleased to support Signwise through this process supplying them with their hire equipment needs.

COMMON GEAR USED: Electric knuckle booms, electric scissor lifts, rough terrain scissor lifts, all terrain knuckle booms, safety harnesses and scaffolding.

NEW CONSTRUCTION

CASE STUDY

PROJECT: Waipipi Wind Farm
LOCATION: Taranaki

The Windfarm Contractors were working almost around the clock to build foundations for the 32 windmills. Once installed, these windmills stand a whopping 160m high to their tips (the largest in New Zealand). Considering this site was so close to the sea, significant foundation work was needed for the sandy grounds.

CLL were the approved contractor for all the foundation work, and then ISS followed closely behind installing the windmill components. Presco Hire were pleased to support Siemens, CLL, ISS, ElectroNet, Higgins and many others through this process supplying them with their hire equipment needs.

COMMON GEAR USED: Site fencing, portable toilets and servicing, bucket truck, telehandler, lunchroom, generators and leads, pumps and hoses, water blasters, rough terrain scissor lifts, all terrain knuckle booms and safety harnesses.
