What is Vinyl Floor Polishing?

Vinyl Floor Polishing smooths and seals your floor surface, reducing places for bacteria and dirt to hide. This makes daily cleaning more effective and helps prevent slips, especially in areas exposed to water such as footbaths or change-out zones.

Our technicians use one of two polish types depending on your site requirements:

• A chemical-resistant polish, ideal for factory floors where chemicals are transferred by footwear
• A cost-effective polish, better suited to low-impact areas like red line zones where only socks are worn

The process begins with a deep clean and if required, chemical stripping of old polish. The vinyl floor is then neutralised and recoated with two base coats followed by three topcoats. The treated area must be kept clear for at least 12 hours – 24 hours is ideal to allow the polish to fully harden. We recommend once the vinyl polishing is completed, maintaining the finish with regular buffing using a soft non-abrasive pad.
